�Well Bill, I'm kind of in the "also ran" group! I am fortunate that I'm able to sell my "mixed grass" hay, at a profit, to the same customers year after year.
As for fertilizer, I have the same Lely HR spreader as you, but without the extensions. I buy the 50# bags as well, and ten bags into the spreader is a nice comfortable fill. At 81 years old, after 10 bags, I'm ready to take a rest and drive the tractor! LOL I do save the old back , however, by raising the pallet with the loader as I work down to the bottom, and I don't figure to spread over 1 ton on any 1 day!�
I hope I�m still going at 81, you are an inspiration! We can get 20 bags on the spreader with the extensions, but it�s rounded up.
