I have occasional bouts (having one today). I can not detect any connection to specific foods and believe me, I have tried to track it back to what I ate. I think there is a stress component, and tend to have flares after some mental stress. I take Cilchicine at first tingle..catch it early! Don't wait. 2 pills, then 1 a few hours later, get up and walk it out. Tylenol helps but don't mix too many meds. Just my experience.
