Hello. I recently acquired a nice 1990 Chevy Cheyenne pick up that I need some information about. To make this as tractor related post, it will be my parts fetching vehicle when I work on my tractors and equipment. The problem is that the speedometer works fine but the mileage odometer does not move. There were several articles about this online that said a plastic gear in there would break. I found an odometer gear on Amazon for ~$30. Any body done this? If so how much trouble is it? I assume the instrument cluster will have to be removed? I would like to know what goes on and if an average minded person might be able to do it. Thanks for your advice. Gene Davis Tennille,Ga.
