I needed some 5/16-18 x1" oval head bolts - phillips drive. Went to Bolt Depot my go-to online supplier. They only had them in stainless. I need them to hold paint so want them steel. Checked Fastenal. Same thing. Only stainless. McMaster Carr had them in steel - boxes of 100 only. Ebay and Amazon only stainless. Menards and Fleet Farm - No oval head. I kept looking and found a small, ma and pa place that was local. Yup, they had them but zinc plated. That's okay. I'll sand blast the zinc off. Drove up there and got them. 18 miles. Nice lady there. Paid $8.02 for 16 bolts, nuts and lock washers. I'm a happy camper so will give them a plug. S&S Industrial Supply East Bethel, MN Kind of a small Fastenal but a lot of stuff there. They're for a tractor in case you wondered.
