Was misting and blowing snow over night a couple weeks ago, roads were icy before that already.
The police scanner kicked on at 4:30 am, Request for a heavy tow truck, a semi and a truck were tangled up on the interstate.
Dispatcher came back; tow truck operator wanted to know if the plows were out already or they didn�t want to go out on the glazed roads, typically the plow trucks don�t operate before 6:00am in rural Minnesota?
Reply: Well, uh, I am a plow truck, got tangled with a semi and the plow is caught under the semi, need a tow to separate us. And yes, we are out on the roads already this morning......
