It all comes back to the old risk/reward issue. To say nothing of the ethics of the issue, all you need is for something to go wrong and you can be sued for any number of issues. Is it worth it to risk your personal assets in this suit - happy era we live in? In the event of an incident, how would you like to have U-Haul sue you for fraud along with the person you damaged?
In my opinion, hire some one to haul it for you. You just have a few dollars to gain and a lot to lose if something happens.
