Cats do work but most people over feed them . Of course a cat that isnt fed will soon find a better owner. My dad use to just give them a saucer of milk in the morning and nothing more so they had to hunt for food. Seemed to work . Bowels of food left in a barn will also attract other less desirable visitors. My aunt looked out one morning and there were 4 kittens and a small skunk all feeding at the dish at the same time .
