Lot of discouraging comments here. When IH came with the 4 & 560 tractors, the Co. sent a little tool kit as part of our required tools for servicing the Roosa Master injection pumps. My boss said they tell us these pumps are simple. Guess what, I had to learn how to repair them. They are not impossible but take tender care and attention to detail
The part that you don't want to hold in your bare hands is the rotor. They showed us a few years later, that holding the rotor in your hand for a while it could not be easily assembled into the head. Leaving it soak along side head during coffee break and it slipped right back together.
Plenty of good service manuals explaining theory and repair procedures. Up to you if you want to tackle it. IH had good ones. Case had miserable ones. Deere, ok. Don't know what Allis had.
