I saw an interesting interview with Chuck one time where he talked about his love for hunting and how it helped him in combat because it taught him to lead his targets.
He talked about growing up in rural West Virginia. He said in first grade at age 6 every single boy in his classroom would bring a .410 shotgun to school. They had a gun rack in his one room schoolhouse. After school got out every boy would go hunting for squirrels to have for supper that night.
