This debate is yet another subject that has been discussed over and over.
There are some of us (the majority, I think) that prefer the classic. I prefer the classic. Is one better than the other? All in the eyes of the beholder. That is why they make more than one flavor of ice cream. Some prefer chocolate, others prefer vanilla.
If one is abandoned, I would think that there would be a lot of disappointed people. Could even be bad for the forums. Many would leave here for other forums more to their liking.
Newer is not always better. Sometimes the older is the best. As evidenced by the very existence of this forum. Back to the forum, though. Each user will use the view that suits their needs the best. Not your decision to make, Double07 or Tom in Mo. You use what you like and I will use what I like. And the decisions regarding which to abandon (or not) are strictly up to Chris and Kim.
