That is my plan exactly, standing up right, lagged into notched spots on the upright posts, then setting trusses on top of the H beams.
We don't have any building codes or inspections or anything around here, so I should be good there. I also wouldn't really worry about wind bracing? The most wind we ever get is like 10 or 15 mph at the very most, tons of other pole buildings built this way around here, and most are not nearly as strong as this one would be...
Our snow load spec for the county is 65 lbs, I think, but I would have to check. I know my other two sheds are no where near that tough, but they don't have engineered trusses, just 2x6's spanning.
