Some vintage video from spring of 1992. This stubble fire got away and jumped from the neighbour's land onto mine when the wind turned extreme. It burned so hot that green poplar trees burned to the ground. Lucky for me most my field was summerfallow so nothing to burn. Just trees and grass. I was working another farm 8 miles away and by the time I knew about it the fire had already moved on. Several neighbours got in with their tractors and tillage to stop the fire from spreading to another farm yard a half mile to the Southwest.
