I converted my C a long time ago to 12 volt and I use the tractor very little. As a result my flywheel is tore up and the starter will not engage. I would turn in over just a little with the crank and it would then engage most of the time. It has now gotten to the point where I have to use the crank to even start it. I did buy a cheap starter from the land of Almost Right but that didn't last long before it was doing the same thing. I have been looking at that newer starter gear offered for 20 bucks right here and have been thinking of trying one. I don't want to split the tractor but it will probably come to that.
