Something doesn't sound right.
I have a 10KW generator, and it runs the pump OK. But, my well is only 35' deep.
Before I got the generator, a friend that works for a local electric power company estimated it would take 6KW to run my entire house, well included, but excluding the electric clothes dryer and the A/C. When I'm running the house on the generator, the lights have a very slight blink when the well kicks on, that's all.
