Dad had a mower like that. Mounted to a W-30 McCormick-Deering. I cut lots of hay with it as a teenager. The unique thing about it is the rope lift for the cutter bar. On the back side of the PTO drive area there was a drum that the rope went around with several turns. A pull on that rope tightened the turns and lifted the bar. Release the pull on the rope and the bar would drop back to cutting position.
The rope lift was a nice invention and great for older tractors without hydraulics available.
