I have been a part of probably six well pump pulls. It make a good male bonding exercise. The most recent was 2-3 weeks ago at my son's mother and father in laws. He called me for advice and I told him to get four more guys together and I would be there in an hour with everything that he needed except for the pump. He got the guys together and I mostly just directed, but it was still a long day on my feet. We had a problem getting the correct pump so I had to go back to Lowe's with my son which meant a lot more walking. The previous installer had not done a good job so we corrected some issues while we were at it. The well companies charge $1500-$2,000 for the labor so it is a good way to save serious money.
