We went and watched the movie 'Midway' last week. The movie started with events that developed before Pearl Harbor and ended with the Americans winning their first major battle of the Pacific at Midway. The Japanese lost all 4 of their aircraft carriers there and retreated from the area. Anyway, at the end of the movie, they put on the screen that this movie was made to honor both the American and the Japanese sailors and pilots that fought in the Pacific. Talk about political correctness......it just didn't set well with me.
