A bigger issue is the fact that the car had no brakes. It should have (absolutely) gone to using the rear brakes only. All cars from the mid to late 60s have dual master cylinders brakes that keep one half of the brakes in operation even if a line fails. So be sure to assess the reason for total failure. It might have had only half the brakes working all this time. The wheel bearing is shot. No play is allowable.
