This is just the suspicious side of me talking, but I can't help but wonder if much of the offers/ads are also hoping it will turn into a cheap land grab? What happens if the owner(s) die before end of lease or term? Does the property get sold? If so, to whom? How many people these days have enough money to buy huge tracts of land? BTO's, land developers....but who else?
The one thing that's not being made anymore is land. So much is tied up in parks, preserves, Nature Conservancy, etc. Other than those, what other large tracts of land come up for sale? Farms. Bruce in Canada and others have talked on here about how crazy high farm land is selling for these days. Sure has me wondering what's to come in the next 20 to 30 years.
