Don't know how easy or convenient this is to do with your application but taking the battery(s) out and keeping them inside makes all the difference in the world, block heater or no block heater. I'm not sure of the exact number, but a battery store will have a reference that shows you the % cranking power loss of a good battery when it's sitting out in the cold. They lose a lot of cranking power when it's cold. Not too convenient if you're doing it every day but it sure does help.
