I am on my third Caravan. I love the everything about the vans, but I know that the transmissions are not the best. I have 130,000 on my current van. The previous owner had trans rebuilt at about 60,000. On Saturdays I listen to the local "car clinic" progarm on the radio when I am working in the garage. Transmissions problems were a common call for this vechile. I KNOW that Chrysler has had several service bulletins on this subject. I would be furious at your local Chrysler dealer if they said "they know of no problems with the transmissions." If he was unaware of tranmission problems in Caravans he would have had to have lived on the planet Mars the past ten years. I cannot understand why Chrysler has let this problem go since the late 1980's. They should have fixed problem within a year or two after the first problem. I know some people have gotten partial compensation by writing to Chrysler, even after the fact. You may try that. Good luck no your rebuild. Gordy MN
