How it started- I need a replacement Transmission Oil Slinger Gear for my Internatioanl 240 Utility. This particular slinger, P/N 369020R11, is aparrently only used on the 240U and the Farmall 140. I noticed the parts manual showed an optional "High Speed and Low Reverse" set of gears. this looked good. 1. It used the oil slinger which is common to the Farmall C, SC, 200, 230 and also available as new after market. 2. I wouldn't mind a slower reverse. 3. I have the gears from a Farmall C. And now the final analysis- 1. The Reverse Idler has two functions. 1- Change direction. 2- Confuse people like me. 2. An incorrect assumption. I checked the Differential Ring Gear and found that all 240s, Farmall and International, are the same. I assumed the pinions were the same as well. I thought to change one would require changing both. I was wrong they change the 7 tooth Pinion to an 8 tooth. 3. The statement in the parts manual that started me down this path "High Speed and Low Reverse" has been a wild goose chase. I have now found the Owner's Manual gives a more accurate description, "High Speed Low and Reverse". On the up side, I have learned something and I appreciate all you people helping me think this out. Thanks. By the way does anyone have an Oil Slinger, P/N 369020R11. K-Mo

I dropped off the tractor expecting a transformation from a 6 volt to a 12 volt system utilizing the original generator housing, and a total rewiring of the whole tractor. The front end center pin bushing was worn also so I ask that they replace it if they had time. Well, that’s wha
