No, it's more then that. The Dodge brothers were major share holder of Ford, with one of them being vice president of Ford. When Henry put the Model T into production the assembly plant the Dodge brothers owned was one of those used to produce Model T's for Ford Motor Company. This continued until 1914 when the Dodge brothers and other stock holders forced Henry to buy them out. At that point, the Dodge brothers produced their own cars under their own name.
