Hi Guys! Single cylinder Kohler...12hp (?) Spark plug hole has been replaced with a threaded insert, which is now leaking compression...big time. Engine will start & run, but under load will quickly bog down. I've tried some plastic based sealers, all of which melted out in no time. All of the Tech's I've talked to say... "Buy a new cyl head"... Oakey Doak...It might come to that...But considering the outrageous price demanded, & the fact that I've nothing to loose experimenting with the old head...I pose the query...Has anyone soldered/brazed/welded the aluminum head insert with success? Thank you.
