Before doing the test loosen the plugs a few turns and then tighten again. breaks carbon off and when you run the engine for a few minutes before the compression test it will keep small pieces of carbon from holding the valves open for the test. For the test make sure the choke and throttle are open wide. Even compression is more important than high compression.
