My manuals for the old Cases have draining the water out of the bottom of the engine and transmission as a part of regular maitenance. Do it when the tractor has been sitting and is cold. Unscrew the plug just until water begins to drip or drain slowly. When the water is gone, the viscosity of the oil will prevent it from flowing through the threads and it will stop. Tighten plug and you are ready for another day.
