I've never owned a Long, but I do hear many good things about them from people that do. The Tafe I'm not sure about-seems like it's a licence built Massey(?). I know that the Longs are a good product. They have a real good dealer network (better than Tafe) and parts should be no problem. Neighbor down the road has a '70- something Long that he bought new and uses continuously to this day without much complaint. My opinion, go with the Long......Good luck.
