Interesting. Part of the issue is clearly the effort needed to protect the most individuals from tactically encountering the threat. This avoidance training is important in that it likely saves the greatest number of individuals. It is also logically reasonable to assume that charging into a shooting situation one at a time through a door is a poor strategy when unarmed. With proper comprehensive training in firearms, the individual's tactics change while keeping the same goal of protecting the most people. Only in tactics 150 years obsolete does the running into the fire fight get taught as policy. Advancing ranks of soldiers is a parade ground move. The people that function in either situation to gain the best outcome are the few, not the many. Jim
