We trapped skunks and one of the things we got from them was their "essence" (scent). It is used to make 'scent lures' for trapping.
Anyway, we had one we 'dispatched', hung up by it's hind legs. Chris was using a syringe with needle to insert through the hide to penetrate the scent sac. As he pressed the needle into the sac, the 'scent' squirted out the sphincter and got him in the face! In his mouth, eyes, nose, all over his face. He started gagging and spitting. It took me 10 minutes to stop laughing.
