A good perimeter fence around the whole farm with locked gates coming in the driveway and a couple dogs running loose at night does wonders to deter theft.Also firing off a few random shots at night doesn't hurt either.Motion activated lights are a plus too.I also have a driveway alarm that is battery powered that transmits a signal to the home unit here in my house that says 3 times Alert Zone 1 or whichever unit the signal comes from think I can hook up 4 units coming to the one base unit.
