every one else has the idea of you converting a lawn tractor over to track drive like a small bulldozer, like evry ones else say's, seems like a lot of work. So here's what you do instead for better traction, make your lawn tractor into a half track!!! get you bare bone stock lawn tractor, and basicly put some sorta rubber tracks on the back half while keeping the frontend the same for steering. (might haft to add a little weight to the front for better steering to balance the weight going up hills. Im not sure what you could use for tracks but they would just be driven off the rear tire then going back to or in front to an idler tire. You might try getting an other drive axle that matches the one on the tractor and put it behind the drive axle as a free turning axle. you would have to mount it on a frame in such a way as to be able to adjust it to go back or forward a few inches. Then you put your track over the two tires. Your track could simple be a 31" truck tire cut in way that all the side wall is cut out, bolt some sorta tabs (angle iron) onto it so as to create a guide on both sides that the lawn tractor tires fits into. Can you picture it, its all kinda like the track system for bobcats, check em out for idea's. But to be honest with ya, it would be much easier just to get your self some sorta troy-built Roto-tiller tires, 4 or more. put them on in place of the tractors turf tires, double, triple them up, put some weight on the back and you will have all the traction you'l need. Thats if more traction is what your after??????. Just my 2 cents worth......

Ford Super Dexta - by Anthony West. The rusty blue tractor caught my eye as my truck zipped by the farm implement business. It looked so fornlorn amongst the lineup of newer equipment. But it was just the right size for my small farm. I stopped in and asked the proprietor for further information. "It's a 64 Ford Super Dexta", he said. "It's a tough little tractor, although it's a hard starter being a diesel and all." He did manage to get it running, compliments of a can of ether. Once started it putted along pretty good. It
