Haven't seen the Farmall 'A' mentioned here. IH produced over 220,000 of these between 1939 and 1947 plus 103,000 of the Super A between 1948 and 1954. (Total approx. 323,000) The A did not actually die here, but continued on under new designations for another 25+ years after that. I wonder how many in total were actually produced. I would think that the Farmall A design would challenge almost any tractor design in production longevity. I'm not sure when that tractor was discontinued but I think it was in production until the very late seventies or possibly into the eighties.
