I have an 8630 I kept when I quit farming in 1997.
I enjoy it a lot, it's still "field ready", but the paint's faded quite a bit.
Any "restoration" work beyond cosmetics would require some pretty heavy lifting equipment or splitting stand 'cause ANY repair that's needed will require front axle removal, or a "split".
I have the stands and equipment needed to do it, but the older I get, the less I like to work with this HEAVY stuff!
And once you're done, you have a "toy" that's a bit heavy to haul around to shows!
A friend has a 6030 at my place that needs to get in the shop this winter for engine work, it has a spun bearing.
'Nother case of a GREAT, HEAVY classic piece of iron that's not very easy to haul around!
