Stabil claims it will keep fuel fresh for 24 months so in theory if you were to add it to your tank a day short of 2 years after opening it you would still get 24 months of protection out of it.
Not likely that it changes much between 24 and 25 months after opening it.
With that said son and I pulled out my old Town car last weekend.
It had not been started in 11 years, it sat outside with a 1/4 tank of fuel without any kind of snake oil added to it.
It fired right up and I drove it to his place, it ran just fine on what was in the tank.
Probable the octane level in the fuel dropped after all that time but not enough that the computer couldn't adjust for it.
