Local sherriffs in hot pursuit of a stolen car. Head north on a 2 lane blacktop wide open. suspect runs right off the dead end of the road into trees. One Emergency unit heads wide open into the woods to the left of the stolen car, and another to the right. net result? a $300 junk car with a disputed title costs the County 2 nearly new emergency response units totally destroyed, 2 officers on medical leave, then punished internally. Here is the punch line. The officers in question committed this act of ignorance 1, yes ONE mile from the Sherrifs office. these same Deputy Dawgs traveled this road every day.
