two factors. The 404 is a 40 hp tractor and the C is 23 hp. The waste heat issue will not go away. moving dramatically more air through the 140 radiator will fix it enough.
Junk yard source a pair of fans from a 2001 Subaru. They are small enough to fit two of them, and cover quite a bit of the area. Wire them to a single thermal switch in the temp sending unit hole, or other access to coolant temp. Remove the standard fan and gain a horse power or two. Jim
