I worked years and years ago with an old fella that was quite a gardener ...... he grew stuff in areas and in soil that others wouldn't even consider trying to grow anything in. Not sure what he did to be so successful, I suspect a lot of compositn (done correctly). He cursed earthworms till the day he died ..... well, he cursed "too many" earthworms till the day he died. He said once the earthworm population takes off, your garden plot becomes like concrete and you might as well use it for an airplane runway. That was his story and he stuck to it ...... till the day he died .... LOL !!!
