I guess I would have tried a chain down on each corner to the trailer frame.
Your combination of straps and chains look complex and inter connected in a way to be very flat to the load, and not really locking it down onto the trailer bed.
I�m not complaining about it, just saying short,and straight and get it down, not across would be my goal. Not so much interconnected of stuff so that it all relays upon one weak link, but get 4 individual straps/ chains to lock it down without every chain hooked onto every other chain.
Again, not seeing exactly what you did, I�m not trying to be critical I�m sure it worked well.
