I used to hold the trouble light for Dad when he was working on his equipment. Quite often, as a kid might do, I would get distracted and Pa would say, 'light on the subject'. He wouldn't holler or be mad. He had the most patience of anyone I ever knew. Often, when I am working on something, I get the feeling I am not alone. This happens if I get to a point where I am stuck on something. Then I can almost hear him say, 'Now let me see'. I sit back and study the thing for a little while. Then, I see what it is I have to do and the thing goes together and it works. If I had a nickel for everytime I heard, 'light on the subject', I could afford a faster puter. good luck sod
