Best place to look for a project?

I'm looking for that "rusty old tractor behind the barn" that you hear about. I don't want to pay for a running tractor because the whole idea is to keep me busy on a project through the winter. Are there any publications or web-sites that list basket-case tractors or "handy-man" specials?
I put a wanted poster up at the three local dealers, and I can't pay more than $250 for a project, not when parts and restoration will run many time more than that.

I'm patient enough, but I thought you all might have some ideas.
