My cousin has a 1960-62? MF 50 that had carb problems. Things progressed to the point it didn't run at all. I offered to work on it and went and hauled it back here. What I discovered was it had set out without the sheet metal down near Victoria (TX). With the very wet winter and spring I was worried water had gotten into the cylinders.'twas a mess to say the least. After a new carb, sediment bowl, fuel line, alternator, ammeter, cleaning all the wiring contacts and distributor cap, setting the points, new fluids, it is running! Still a long way from being a working tractor but we're a gittin there.
