I got my 1936 model A JD in 1995 after my dad passed away.He bought the tractor in the early 70s from a neighbor for $35.00.At the time the tractor didnt run.It was loose and resently overhauled,it just didnt have any oil psr.My neighbor saw the oil psr.drop and shut it off befor it did any damage. He didnt need the tractor and let it sit for a couple of years. One day my dad was talking to him and he said he was going to sel the old A for iron since the wernt worth much back then.Mydad said he would give him iron price for it,witch was $35.00.All that was wrong was the oil pump drive was broken,we had it running the next day.Now my 14 year old son wants to restore it for a 4h project.
