I removed the nut and then fished the part that touches the ball out with a small tap hand turned into the hole in the center of it. It came right out. There is a rubber cover on the back part that blocks seeing what kind of opening is there. I may have to remove that. As I look at the cylinder it looks like you remove the piston and shaft from the back. The part with the ball we are talking about looks like it comes out and you unscrew the tie rod end on the far end of the rod then it slips thru the bore with the shaft seal and rod wiper. The rod has wrench flats at the end do you can unscrew the ball end. That end looks like it is machined all from one piece, end and barrel together.
