It did move back and forth but not sideways. That ball may be forged in like a tie rod end and the adjustment just for taking up wear. Guess I will have to remove the whole thing but first I am going to take off the other end and see if I can get the end off and remove the rod and piston. Maybe. Just need to put a rod seal in as it drips fluid and drips dry after a time.
