Bernhard: just wondered on the manihien built JD tractors we have had very good luck with the 1120 model[3 of them all over 8000 + hours since 1971] but never seen any mention of this JD model . I know not many made it into the states as they were selling the 1020/1520 at the same time. Our canadian friend may look at these models . Good ones still bring $8500 + canadian and our first one was$3800 new !! There must be some of these models [1120'2130'3130] overseas yet although a lot have been inported here lately.

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet).
