Hey, I used a PVC pipe and speeds reached a good 5 MPH except on the turns It would sling it around. and my five acres are as flat as a pancake. It was more like a sled ride. I am from W.Va. and when the creek flooded I would ride a innertube for miles I don't think I should be here now. I would never let my son do the floolish things I done when I was young. I guess we are all the lucky ones. I know of kids drownding in ponds. I even had a friend working on a tobbaco warehouse dock that fell and hit his head. His brain swelled and it killed him. His name was Cris Stone he was 17 years old and had a 67 chevelle convertible. He sure didn't deserve that.
