Ok, I need to ask a question. What is the next step in this plan? You are going up the steep hill and for whatever reason you have to pull the breakaway cable. Now your trailer brakes are hopefully locked up and everything has stopped. There is no way to ease up on the brakes and slowly back down the steep hill. If the brakes are locked, but does not hold the tractor and trailer on the steep hill and you start to slide backwards, I don't think you will have much control either. Those little breakaway batteries won't keep the brakes locked for very long.
