My first tractor was a John Deere L. Actually my Dad bought it, but after using it for hauling a wagon around for a few years he parked it. When I was just out of college, I needed money, so I restored it and sold it with his blessing. USed the money to buy a AC B and a CA. Painted it up the B and sold it for a tidy profit. Sold the CA, but regretted it years later when I bought a house out in the country. So here I was about three years ago needing a small yard tracor. I went to look at an 8N, but it turned out to be a really worn out 9N. But I had a lead on a 2N, which I really didn't want because of it's low road speed. But I stopped to look at it, and it had a Sherman tranny, and while it needed paint bad, the owner was very trustable (telling me things that were wrong that most people wouldn't), and the tractor was in top mechanicle shape, and was still 6V. I bought the tractor and it has been a joy. Still wish I could find a CA, but this old Ford is one heck of a tractor. Take Care Steve
