I do know a guy who had both hands cut off by a push lawn mower. He was mowing his lawn or side ditch with a riding mower that had at least one, but I believe 2 push lawn mowers rigged to his riding mower to obtain a larger swathe. I don't know the circumstances of what happened but something went wrong and he had both hands cut off. They were able to reattach them both. Last time I saw him, one hand had limited mobility and the other had almost no mobility. This happened shortly before his daughter's wedding and he was still in the hospital on her wedding day.
