If I remember right mine would work if I held my finger on the button. One of the eyes had a broke wire going to it. The spring was broke to our tenants never bothered to tell us. Surprised it didnt strip the gear or wear the motor out. I replaced the spring myself. Watched a YouTube video. It was wrong. Almost took my head off when I replaced the spring. Had to take the door apart to fix it as the door was stuck up.
